3rd Thursday – ArtPrize Style!

Check out 3rd Thursday this month at local shops, galleries and restaurants on September 15 as ArtPrize kicks off! Many participants have special events, guests, or interactive art experiences inside.

  • ArtRat Gallery (46 Division Ave. S.) will have a reception for “Converge,” its ArtPrize group show, that features live music and refreshments.

 

  • The Arts Marketplace (121 Ionia Ave. SW.) will host a sip-and-shop featuring four of its local vendors.

 

 

  • Courage & Soar (40 Monroe Center St. NW., Suite 104) will serve wine from House of Wine.

 

  • Gazelle Sports (52 Monroe Center St. NW.) will present a specially curated collection of God’s Eyes by Southwest Michigan artist Heather Boersma, with light refreshments and $5 off $50 purchases.

 

  • KCAD (17 Fountain St. NW.) will open its ArtPrize exhibition, “Infinite Futures”.

 

  • Little Space Studio (111 Division Ave. S.) will host a rummage sale that includes furniture, lightly used art and tech supplies, and much more.

 

  • Monroe Community Church (1020 Monroe Ave. NW) will open its ArtPrize exhibit with a barista serving hot and cold flavored lattes.

 

  • Oh, Hello Paper and Gifts (40 Monroe Center St. NW., Suite 103) will feature a prize wheel that people can spin to win free gifts and items.

 

  • OTONO (317 Division Ave. S.) will host a mending workshop (7p-9p) w/ Betel Box. Bring in an article of clothing that needs repair; OTONO will provide the needle and thread and instructions on how to fix it yourself.

 

  • Periwinkle Fog (125 Ottawa Ave. NW., Suite 160) will host a pop-up with photographer Leslie Victor, as well as a clearance summer home decor sale and 30% off its curated collection of Robert Lee Morris Jewelry. The shop will also debut ArtPrize work from Karin Hain, Dee Bellini and Christine Towner.

 

  • Show Salon & Boutique (40 Monroe Center St. NW., Suite 102) is having a “show-stopping liquidation sale” with everything 30% – 70% off, including all new items.

 

  • The 12th House GR (8 Jefferson Ave.) will offer henna body art and tarot readings for walk-ins, along with a 10% discount storewide.

 

  • UICA (17 Pearl St. NW.) will present a new exhibition titled “Wandering, Waiting, Watching” that features works from artist Jessica Campbell.
